Un singur neam n-a venit de nicăieri

Toate popoarele din jurul nostru au venit de undeva şi s-au aşezat pe pământul pe care trăiesc. Istoria ne dă date precise despre venirea bulgarilor, turcilor, maghiarilor etc. Un singur neam n-a venit de nicăieri. Acela suntem noi. Ne-am născut din negura vremii pe acest pământ odată cu stejarii şi cu brazii. De el suntem legaţi nu numai prin pâinea şi existenţa care ne-o dă muncindu-l din greu, dar şi prin toate oasele strămoşilor care dorm în ţărâna lui. Toţi părinţii noştri sunt aici. Toate amintirile noastre, toată gloria noastră

războinică, întreaga noastră istorie aici, în acest pământ stă îngropată. Aici e Sarmisegetuza cu ţărâna regelui Decebal, cel nemuritor,pentru că cine ştie să moară ca Decebal, nu moare niciodată.

All the peoples around us came from another place and settled on the land where they live now. History gives us precise dates about the settle of the Bulgarians, the Turks, the Maghiars, etc. A single people didn’t come from anywhere else. This people are the Romanians. We’ve born in the distant past on this land, together with the fur trees and the oaks. We are related to our land not only by our bread  and our lives received from it after hard work, but by the bones of our ancestors who are sleeping under the ground. All our parents are here. All our memories, our glory in wars, all our history are burried here.  Sarmisegetusa is here, with the dust of king Decebal, the immortal, for he who knows to die like Decebal, never dies.
